His book ‘The man who mistook his wife for a hat’ (1985) inspired me to follow my passion for the brain and become a neurologist. By strange coincidence I am currently halfway through his autobiography. If you haven’t had the opportunity to read any of his books I would suggest starting with ‘The man who mistook his wife for a hat’.”

When I had a relapse over 20 years ago, I told my GP that I felt trapped inside a body that doesn't work. He suggested I read The man who mistook his wife for a hat. Great book, well written and easy to read.
