ClinicSpeak: London MS-AHSCT collaborative group eligibility criteria

Are you eligible for referral for HSCT in London? #ClinicSpeak #MSBlog #MSResearch

“In response to the the following comment from a reader: ‘Ideally for patients it would help tremendously if MS experts would sit with hematologists and others with expertise in A-HSCT and NM-HSCT and come to an internationally accepted consensus on current stem cell therapies in MS’. The following are the eligibility criteria from the London MS-AHSCT collaborative group that includes neurologists and haematologists. Please note that I am personally not part of this group or initiative, nor do we offer HSCT as part of our clinical service at Barts-MS.”

CoI: Dr Ben Turner, from Barts-MS is a member of the London MS-AHSCT Collaborative Group.

  1. Hello I have been diagnosed with PPMS at age 69 I will be 70 in August., I know thist is outside your range, but having just got this diagnosis and finding there is no treatment available I would very much like HSCT. I am in excellent health apart from the MS, the only prescribed medication I take is HRT and omiprazole. Would you consider seeing me and looking to see if I am a suitable candidate. Thanking you Betty Curran
