NewsSpeak: MS Paris 2017 Meeting

Please note that ECTRIMS/ACTRIMS meeting is not open for pwMS. #MSBlog #NewsSpeak

We will be hosting our usual Burning Debate, Google Hangout and ClinicSpeak sessions at this years meeting. The burning debate is called the Rumble in the Jungle and involves two big beasts of the MS world who will be slugging it out over the T cell vs. the B cell controversy in MS. More on that later.

    1. People with MS do attend but it is within a professional capacity. There are issues concerning companies.Visit the blog instead and save your self a trip to paris, fliight/train, hotels meals and registration fees. Donate it to us:-)

    2. Re Donate it to us Slightly off topic, but is there a Barts MS research fund? I know there was the Charcot crowdfunding but is there an ongoing fund with charity status for tax relief? Would kinda be good, skips the various MS charities admin and we trust you to do good quality research 😉

    3. I was thinking of attending, I have MS and am a MS postgrad researcher. Even the cheapest hotel is not cheap so I don't think I would get funding for all costs involved. I hope to submit a research poster this year or for next year.

    4. "Re Donate it to us"We're in the process of launching *BartsMS Charity*, and would greatly appreciate if people avoiding ECTRIMS donate the money they saved, or a fraction of it. Watch this space…

  1. It would be interesting, I would love to go, but ultimately I feel it is better for us that they are free to communicate and debate without having to tip toe around pwms, if we were there they might lose interest in going.

  2. Yawn, ECTRIMS again just another Pharma jolly with drunk neurologists roaming the streets in the early hours of the morning. Only this time the streets happen to be in Paris.

    1. At least they will be in the City of Light so when they are roaming the streets and cafes they won't be in the dark tripping on the curbs and cobblestones:-)
