If any one is interested in social phenomena that disconnect with the predominant scientific opinion of the time should also read “Bad Science” by Ben Goldacre; the book provides the social context to the CCSVI phenomenon we have been discussing on this blog. His discussion on anecdotal evidence and the placbo-effect are particularly well written.

CCSVI is an example of how this process pans out in the field of MS. It is an interesting read! I would like to hear your thoughts about the book.
