  1. The programme looks very interesting and this is a welcome event to update people with MS on current research. It would be of great benefit to provide some estimate at the research day of when we are likely to see some of the research bear fruit i.e. when will it transfer from research to actual treatments. For too long MS research has been "jam tomorrow" in terms of actual treatments for patients. Research offers a lot of hope to those with the disease, but time is not on our side.

  2. Thanks! When I sum up at the end of the meeting I will try and give you some idea of time lines. With best wishesProfG

  3. I would also like to thank you and your team for sparing the time to inform patients about what sort of research is being undertaken. Are there any plans to provide a summary of the event for those who can't make it?

  4. Please can you webcast it for those unable to attend in person – would be great resource to have online for later access too. Perhaps you could put pdfs of the posters online also…

  5. I'm 19 and I've been very recently diagnosed with MS, and I am petrified! I have had symptoms for ages before, and it has been a long hard battle to a diagnosis I don't really want to become familiar with! My world makes such little sense at the moment, so thank you for such an event and I look forward to meeting everyone. Student

  6. Leyla, go to facebook and search for ms-ccsvi-uk and we will help you cope with the bewilderment. My daughter has MS and was diagnosed at your age, so I know what it is like…

  7. Just back from the research day. It was great! Very informative. A bit tricky to follow at times but I am sure this will be taken into account if it happens again next year. I really hope so and definitely will be there! Thanks again! The scientists were human after all…..(and often very funny).Great to get to know some of the faces in the labs.
